Our Story
Why We Do This Work
Blueprints and Pathways was founded by Dr. Robert Gipson DSW, ASW - a social worker, clinician and community advocate who spent years witnessing the same painful pattern: individuals seeking mental health support, only to be met with providers who weren't culturally competent, systems that weren't built for them, and barriers that shouldn't exist.
So he built something different.
As a 501(c)3 organization, Blueprints and Pathways was created to be targeted and deeply connected to the communities it serves. We don't try to do everything. We done thing exceptionally well: we find the right providers and make the connection, building rust in the community.
Our Approach
Community Over Convenience
We believe the solution to the behavioral health gap in underserved communities is better matched services. That's why our model is built around four core commitments:
Vet. Connect. Coordinate. Support
We Vet. We carefully screen our network of providers to ensure they meet the highest standards of cultural competence, because being licensed isn't the same as being equipped to serve our community.
We Connect. We match clients with providers who reflect or deeply understand their lived experience, ensuring that the first conversation doesn't feel like starting from scratch.
We Coordinate. We handle the complexity. From initial referrals to ongoing case management, we make the process as seamless as possible so our clients can focus on healing.
We Support. We offer wellness programming, peer support, and community workshop that go beyond individual appointments, because mental health is a community effort.
